I am a writer and web-editor living in the Ottawa area. Originally hailing from Boston, MA, I moved to Canada (Montreal, specifically) in 2004 and haven’t wanted to leave this cold, unforgiving landscape since!
I graduated from McGill University with a BA (Honours) in Sociology and Literature in 2008. My honours thesis was on sex offender registries and neighborhood disorganization. This experience sparked my interest in crime reporting, and my love of statistical data. In the fall of 2011, I began my Masters in Journalism at Carleton University.
I have written for a number of news websites and blogs, covering everything from music to politics. I have also worked as a web-editor, marketing manager, and community manager. In my spare time, I like to write short stories and narrative non-fiction. In the fall of 2010, I won APT613′s Fiction Contest. I also like to cook and watch really bad TV.
